Chinese Languages ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Chinese Languages mobile app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Account information (optional): You can use the app as a guest without an account. If you create an account, we collect your email address. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text.
Learning progress: Lessons completed, quiz scores, XP, streaks, lives and in-progress lessons are stored on your device. If you are signed in, your progress may also be saved to your account so it can be restored.
Advertising data: The app shows optional rewarded video ads (you choose to watch one to get an extra life). Our ad provider, Google AdMob, may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and basic device information to serve and measure ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent first, and ads are only personalised if you agree.
Crash reports: If the app crashes, a technical error report (app version, device model, operating system and the error) may be sent to our crash-reporting provider. Crash reports do not include your name, email address or screenshots.
We do not sell your personal information.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account data is removed from our servers within 30 days. Progress stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or reset your progress.
Data sent between the app and our services is encrypted in transit (TLS). Our providers store data with industry-standard security measures.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
